✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ led us in the morning prayer in the mosque of Madinah. When he finished, he said: "Which of you will follow me to the delegation of the jinn tonight?" The people fell silent, and none of them spoke. He said that three times. Then he passed by me walking, took me by the hand, and I walked with him until all the mountains of Madinah receded from us, and we were led to a flat land. There were tall men, as if they were spears, having tucked their garments between their legs. When I saw them, a severe trembling seized me until my legs could not hold me from fear. When we drew near to them, the Messenger of God ﷺ drew a line with the big toe of his foot on the ground and said to me: "Sit in the middle of it." When I sat down, everything I felt of apprehension left me. The Prophet ﷺ went between me and them and recited the Qur'an in a raised voice until dawn broke. Then he came back, passed by me, and said: "Follow." I walked with him, and we went a short distance. Then he said to me: "Look back and see if you can see anyone where those had been." I said: "O Messenger of God, I see many dark shapes." The Messenger of God ﷺ lowered his head to the ground, strung a bone with dung, threw it at them, and said: "Those were rightly guided from the delegation of a people—they are the delegation of Nasibin. They asked me for provision, so I made for them every bone and dung." Al-Zubayr said: "So it is not permissible for anyone ever to clean oneself with bone or dung."
