✧ A group of Bedouins came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he saw upon them poverty and hardship. He addressed the people, praised God ﷻ and extolled Him, then commanded them to give charity, urged them toward it, and encouraged them in it. They were slow to respond until that was seen in his face. Then a man came with a handful of silver and gave it to him, then another came, until the people followed one after another in giving charity, until delight was seen in the face of the Messenger of God ﷺ. Then he said: “Whoever establishes a good practice in Islam that is acted upon after him will have its reward and the reward of those who act upon it, without their rewards being diminished in anything. And whoever establishes a bad practice in Islam that is acted upon after him will bear its burden and the burden of those who act upon it, without their burdens being diminished in anything.”
