al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 242

✧ The lineage of Zubayr b. al-Awwam "Zubayr b. al-Awwam b. Khawilid b. Asad b. Abd al-Uzza b. Qusayy b. Kilab b. Murrah b. Ka'b b. Lu'ayy b. Ghalib b. Fihr b. Malik, known as Abu Abdullah, and his mother: Safiyyah bt. Abd al-Muttalib, the aunt of the Messenger.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو رَبِيعَةَ فَهْدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ ثنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ

لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْجَمَلِ رَأَى عَلِيٌّ ؓ الرُّءُوسَ تَنْدُرُ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِ الْحَسَنِ ؓ فَوَضَعَهَا عَلَى بَطْنِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَيْ بُنَيَّ أَيُّ خَيْرٍ بَعْدَ هَذَا»

✧ On the Day of the Camel, Ali ؓ saw heads being severed. He took al-Hasan ؓ by the hand and placed it on his belly, then said, "O my son, what good is there after this?"
