✧ The lineage of Zubayr b. al-Awwam "Zubayr b. al-Awwam b. Khawilid b. Asad b. Abd al-Uzza b. Qusayy b. Kilab b. Murrah b. Ka'b b. Lu'ayy b. Ghalib b. Fihr b. Malik, known as Abu Abdullah, and his mother: Safiyyah bt. Abd al-Muttalib, the aunt of the Messenger.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ

«نَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ عَلَى سِيمَاءِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ وَهُوَ مُعْتَجِرٌ بِعِمَامَةٍ صَفْرَاءَ»
