حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ح وثنا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ وَمَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسٍ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ
كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ مِنْ شَهْرٍ فَقَالَ «أَتَرَوْنَ هَذَا الْقَمَرَ؟ فَإِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ رَبَّكُمْ كَمَا تَرَوْنَ هَذَا الْقَمَرَ لَا تُضَامُونَ فِي رُؤْيَتِهِ فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ فَلَا يُغْلَبَنَّ عَلَى صَلَاةٍ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا»

✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ on the night of the fourteenth of a month, and he said: “Do you see this moon? Indeed you will see your Lord just as you see this moon, not being harmed in seeing Him. So whoever of you is able, let him never be overcome in respect of a prayer before sunrise and before sunset.”
