حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَاضِي ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ قَالَا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ §كُنَّا نُنْهَى

أَنْ نُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ لَا نَتَطَيَّبُ وَلَا نَكْتَحِلُ وَلَا نَلْبَسُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا إِلَّا ثَوْبَ عَصْبٍ قَالَتْ وَقَدْ رَخَّصَ لَهُنَّ حِينَ يَغْتَسِلْنَ فِي الطُّهْرِ فِي الْقُسْطِ وَالْأَظْفَارِ

✧ That we should mourn for a deceased person beyond three days, not applying perfume, not applying kohl, and not wearing a dyed garment except a garment of 'asb (a Yemeni cloth). She said: He permitted them when they bathe after purification to use qust and azfar (types of incense).
