حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ خَيْرِ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمٍ الْجَيْشَانِيِّ
عَنْ أَبِي بَصْرَةَ الْغِفَارِيِّ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى يَوْمًا صَلَاةَ الْعَصْرِ بِالْمُخَمَّصِ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَقَالَ «هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةُ عُرِضَتْ عَلَى مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ فَتَوَانَوْا عَنْهَا وَتَرَكُوهَا فَمَنْ صَلَّاهَا مِنْكُمْ ضُعِّفَ لَهُ أَجْرُهَا ضِعْفَيْنِ وَلَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَهَا حَتَّى يَطْلُعَ الشَّاهِدُ» قَالَ اللَّيْثُ وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ خَيْرِ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

✧ From Abu Basra al-Ghifari ؓ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the 'Asr prayer one day at al-Mukhammas, then departed and said: "This prayer was presented to those before you, but they neglected it and abandoned it. Whoever of you prays it will have its reward doubled twice, and there is no prayer after it until the witness (the star) rises." Al-Layth said: "I heard it from Khayr b. Nu'aym with this chain."
