✧ Maymuna bt. Abi Asib, the wife of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ وَالْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطَّائِفِيِّ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ كَرْدَمٍ الْيَسَارِيَّةِ

أَنَّ أَبَاهَا لَقِيَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهِيَ رَدِيفَةٌ لَهُ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ أَنْ أَنْحَرَ بِبُوَانَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «هَلْ بِهَا وَثَنٌ؟» قَالَ لَهُ لَا قَالَ «فَأَوْفِ بِنَذْرِكَ حَيْثُ نَذَرْتَ»

✧ Her father met the Prophet ﷺ while she was riding behind him, and he asked him, saying: I vowed to slaughter at Buwānah. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to him: Is there an idol there? He said to him: No. He said: Then fulfill your vow where you vowed.
