✧ He hears of me and does not see me but that he loves me. I said, "And how do you know that, O Abu Hurayrah?" He said, "My mother was a polytheist woman, and I used to call her to Islam, but she refused me. One day I called her, and she made me hear about the Messenger of God ﷺ what I disliked. So I came to the Messenger of God ﷺ weeping and said, 'O Messenger of God, I used to call my mother to Islam, but she refused me, and I called her and she made me hear about you what I disliked. So supplicate to God to guide the mother of Abu Hurayrah.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'O God, guide the mother of Abu Hurayrah.' He said, 'I went out running to give her the good news of the supplication of the Messenger of God ﷺ. When I came to the door, it was closed, and I heard the splashing of water and she heard the sound of my feet. She said, "O Abu Hurayrah, stay where you are," and she opened the door, put on her shift, and hurried to her veil. Then she said, "I bear witness that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God." So I returned to the Messenger of God ﷺ weeping from joy as I had wept from sorrow, and I said, "O Messenger of God, God has answered your supplication for my mother. So supplicate to God to make me and my mother beloved to His believing servants and to make them beloved to us." The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'O God, make Your servant and Your female servant beloved to Your believing servants, and make them beloved to the two of them.'"
