✧ Maymuna bt. Abi Asib, the wife of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْلَى بْنِ كَعْبٍ الطَّائِفِيُّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ كَرْدَمٍ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ رَدِيفَ أَبِيهَا

فَسَمِعَتْ أَبَاهَا يَسْأَلُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لَأَنْحَرَنَّ بِبُوَانَةَ فَقَالَ هَلْ بِهَا وَثَنٌ أَوْ طَاغِيَةٌ يُعْبَدُ قَالَ لَا قَالَ أَوْفِ بِنَذْرِكَ حَيْثُ نَذَرْتَ

Translation

✧ She heard her father asking the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: I vowed that I would certainly slaughter at Buwānah. He said: Is there an idol or a tyrant worshipped there? He said: No. He said: Fulfill your vow where you vowed.
