حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ فَرْوَةَ عَنْ بَعْضِ بَنِي جَرْهَدٍ عَنْ جَرْهَدٍ
أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ طَعَامٌ فَأَدْنَى جَرْهَدٌ يَدَهُ الشِّمَالَ لِيَأْكُلَ وَكَانَتِ الْيُمْنَى مُصَابَةً فَقَالَ «كُلْ بِالْيَمِينِ» فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهَا مُصَابَةٌ فَنَفَثَ عَلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَمَا شَكَى حَتَّى مَاتَ

✧ That he came to the Prophet ﷺ while food was in front of him, so Jarhad brought his left hand near to eat, and his right hand was injured. He said: “Eat with the right.” He said: O Messenger of Allah, it is injured. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ blew on it, and he did not complain about it until he died.
