حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالُوا ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْأَغَرُّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ جَهْجَاهٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ
أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ يُرِيدُونَ الْإِسْلَامَ فَحَضَرُوا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَغْرِبَ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ «يَأْخُذُ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ بِيَدِ جَلِيسِهِ» فَلَمْ يَبْقَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ غَيْرُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَغَيْرِي وَكُنْتُ عَظِيمًا طَوِيلًا لَا يُقَدَّمُ عَلَيَّ أَحَدٌ فَذَهَبَ بِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ فَحَلَبَ لِي عَنْزًا فَأَتَيْتُ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى حَلَبَ لِي سَبْعَ أَعْنُزٍ فَأَتَيْتُ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ أُتِيتُ بِصَنِيعِ بُرْمَةٍ فَأَتَيْتُ عَلَيْهَا وَقَالَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ أجَاعَ اللهُ مَنْ أجَاعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ قَالَ «مَهْ يَا أُمَّ أَيْمَنَ أَكَلَ رِزْقَهُ وَرِزْقُنَا عَلَى اللهِ» فَأَصْبَحُوا فَغَدَوْا فَاجْتَمَعَ هُوَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ فَجَعَلَ الرَّجُلُ يُخْبِرُ بِمَا أُتِيَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ جَهْجَاهٌ حُلِبَتْ لِي سَبْعُ أَعْنُزٍ فَأَتَيْتُ عَلَيْهَا وَصَنِيعُ بُرْمَةٍ فَأَتَيْتُ عَلَيْهَا فَصَلَّوْا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَغْرِبَ فَقَالَ «لِيَأْخُذْ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ بِيَدِ جَلِيسِهِ» فَلَمْ يَبْقَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ غَيْرُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَغَيْرِي وَكُنْتُ عَظِيمًا طَوِيلًا لَا يُقَدَّمُ عَلَيَّ أَحَدٌ فَذَهَبَ بِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ فَحَلَبَ لِي عَنْزًا فَرُوِّيتُ وَشَبِعْتُ فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَيْسَ هَذَا ضَيْفَنَا؟ قَالَ «بَلَى» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّهُ أَكَلَ فِي مِعَى مُؤْمِنٍ اللَّيْلَةَ وَأَكَلَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ فِي مِعَى كَافِرٍ الْكَافِرُ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ وَالْمُؤْمِنُ يَأْكُلُ فِي مِعًى وَاحِدٍ»

✧ That he came with a group of his people wanting to accept Islam. They attended the Maghrib prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he said the salam, he said: “Let every man take the hand of his companion.” None remained in the mosque except the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and me. I was big and tall, so no one could be preferred over me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took me to his house and milked a goat for me, and I finished it until he had milked seven goats for me, and I finished them. Then I was brought a cooked dish in a pot, and I finished it. Umm Ayman said: May Allah starve whoever starves the Messenger of Allah this night. He said: “Enough, O Umm Ayman. He has eaten his provision, and our provision is with Allah.” When morning came, they went out and gathered with his companions, and each man told what had been brought to him. Jahjah said: Seven goats were milked for me, and I finished them, and a cooked dish in a pot, and I finished it. Then they prayed the Maghrib with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: “Let every man take the hand of his companion.” None remained in the mosque except the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and me. I was big and tall, so no one could be preferred over me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took me to his house and milked a goat for me, and I drank my fill and was satisfied. Umm Ayman said: O Messenger of Allah, is this not our guest? He said: “Yes.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Tonight he ate in the intestine of a believer, and before that he ate in the intestine of a disbeliever. A disbeliever eats in seven intestines, while a believer eats in one intestine.”
