✧ That the Messenger of God ﷺ called out, 'Prayer in congregation!' at an hour when he did not usually call it. The people went out to the mosque, and the Prophet ﷺ came, ascended the pulpit, then said, 'I warn you of the Dajjal,' three times. 'He did not exist in the past, and he will be among you, O community. Tamim al-Dari told me that he sailed on the sea of Syria with a group from Lakhm and Judham, and the wind cast them onto an island of its islands. There they were met by a dark creature dragging its hair. They said, "What are you?" It said, "I am al-Jassasa." They said, "Tell us." It said, "I am not going to tell you, nor did I ask you. But go to a man in this monastery, for he is longing for news of you." They went to him, and there was a man with an obliterated eye, bound to a pillar in iron. He said, "What are you?" They said, "We are the Arabs." He said, "What have the Arabs done?" We said, "An unlettered Prophet has been sent to them, calling them to God." He said, "What have the people done?" They said, "Some people followed him, and some people abandoned him." He said, "Indeed, if they follow him and believe him, it is better for them, if only they knew." Then he said, "What have the Arabs done? What is their clothing?" We said, "Wool and cotton, which their women spin." He struck his hand on his thigh and said, "Alas!" Then he said, "What have the date palms of Baysan done?" We said, "They are strong, and we find them every year." He struck his hand on his thigh and said, "Alas!" Then he said, "What has the spring of Zughar done?" We said, "Its water is abundant, flowing, giving drink to whoever comes to it." He struck his hand on his thigh and said, "Alas!" Then he said, "If God were to release me from my bonds, there would remain no watering place but that I would enter it, except Makkah and Taybah, for I have no entry to them." The Messenger of God ﷺ said, "That is Makkah, and this is Taybah. God has made it sacred just as Ibrahim made Makkah sacred. Indeed, there is no mountain pass or lane but that an angel stands over it with a drawn sword, defending it from the Dajjal until the Day of Resurrection."
