حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ الْقُرَشِيِّ قَالَ

تَنَاوَلْتُ مِنْ قِدْرٍ لَنَا فَاحْتَرَقَتْ يَدِي فَانْطَلَقَتْ بِي أُمِّي إِلَى رَجُلٍ جَالِسٍ فِي الْجَبَّانَةِ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ «لَبَّيْكِ وَسَعْدَيْكِ» ثُمَّ أَدْنَتْنِي مِنْهُ فَجَعَلَ يَنْفُثُ وَيَتَكَلَّمُ كَلَامًا لَا أَدْرِي مَا هُوَ فَسَأَلَتْ أُمِّي بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مَا كَانَ يَقُولُ؟ فَقَالَتْ كَانَ يَقُولُ «أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شَافِي إِلَّا أَنْتَ»

✧ I reached into a pot of ours and burned my hand. My mother took me to a man sitting in the cemetery and said to him, "O Messenger of God." He said, "At your service, and at your command." Then she brought me close to him. He began to blow gently and speak words I did not know what they were. My mother asked afterwards what he used to say. She said he used to say: "Remove the affliction, Lord of the people. Heal, for You are the Healer; there is no healer except You."
