حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو غَسَّانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْوَلِيدِ

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ بِالشَّامِ تَلْبَسُ الثِّيَابَ مِنْ ثِيَابِ الْخَزِّ ثُمَّ تَأْتَزِرُ فَقِيلَ لَهَا أَمَا يُغْنِيكِ هَذَا عَنِ الْإِزَارِ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «يَأْمُرُ بِالْإِزَارِ»

✧ That she was in Syria wearing garments made of khazz (a type of silk-blend fabric) and then she would wrap a lower garment (izar). It was said to her, "Does this not suffice you instead of the lower garment?" She said, "I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ commanding the wearing of the lower garment."
