حَدَّثَنَا خَلْفُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْعُكْبَرِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ إِلَى النِّسَاءِ فِي جَانِبِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَإِذَا أَنَا مَعَهُنَّ فَسَمِعَ أَصْوَاتَهُنَّ فَقَالَ «يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ إِنَّكُنَّ أَكْثَرُ حَطَبِ جَهَنَّمَ» فَنَادَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَكُنْتُ جَرِيئَةً عَلَى كَلَامِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَمَ؟ قَالَ «لِأَنَّكُنَّ إِذَا أُعْطِيتُنَّ لَمْ تَشْكُرْنَ وَإِذَا ابْتُلِيتُنَّ لَمْ تَصْبِرْنَ فَإِذَا أُمْسِكَ عَنْكُنَّ شَكَوْتُنَّ وَإِيَّاكُنَّ وَكُفْرَانَ الْمُنَعَّمِينَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا كُفْرَانُ الْمُنَعَّمِينَ؟ قَالَ الْمَرْأَةُ تَكُونُ عِنْدَ الرَّجُلِ وَقَدْ وَلَدَتْ لَهُ الْوَلَدَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَةِ فَتَقُولُ مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the women near the side of the mosque, and I was among them. He heard their voices and said, "O group of women, surely you are the majority of the fuel of Hell." So, I called the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and was bold in my speech, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, why?" He said, "Because you, when you are given something, do not express gratitude, and when you are afflicted with a calamity, you do not have patience. And when you are withheld something, you complain and badmouth." So, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is 'Kufran al-muna'meen'?" He replied, "The woman who is with her husband and has borne for him two or three children, yet she says, 'I have never seen any good from you.'"
