حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعُكْبَرِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ لَمْ يَرْضَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا إِنْ مَاتَ مَاتَ كَافِرًا وَإِنْ تَابَ تَابَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنْ عَادَ كَانَ حَتْمًا عَلَى اللهِ أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ طِينَةِ الْخَبَالِ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا طِينَةُ الْخَبَالِ؟ قَالَ «صَدِيدُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever drinks alcohol, Allah will not accept his repentance for forty days. If he dies in this state, he dies as a disbeliever. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he repeats it, it is certain that Allah will make him drink the pus of the people of hell." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the pus of the people of hell?" He replied, "It is the discharge of the people of hell."
