✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ learned that Banū al-Muṣṭaliq were gathering forces against him, led by al-Ḥārith b. Abī Ḍirār, the father of Juwayriyah bt. al-Ḥārith, wife of the Prophet ﷺ. When the Messenger of God ﷺ heard of them, he set out against them until he met them at a watering place of theirs called al-Muraysīʿ, on the side of Qudayd toward the coast. The people pressed upon one another and fought. God defeated Banū al-Muṣṭaliq; al-Ḥārith b. Abī Ḍirār, Juwayriyah's father, was killed along with others of them who were killed, and God granted His Messenger their children and women as spoils. The Messenger of God ﷺ took many captives from them and divided them among the Muslims. Among the women taken that day was Juwayriyah bt. al-Ḥārith b. Abī Ḍirār, the leading woman of her people.
