حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ حَدَّثَنِي عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ خِرَاشٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَامَ بَيْنَ صَفِّ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ فَقَالَ «يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ إِذَا سَمِعْتُنَّ أَذَانَ هَذَا الْحَبَشِيِّ وَإِقَامَتِهِ فَقُلْنَ كَمَا يَقُولُ فَإِنَّ لَكُنَّ بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ أَلْفَ أَلْفَ دَرَجَةٍ» فَقَالَ عُمَرُ هَذَا لِلنِّسَاءِ فَمَا لِلرِّجَالِ؟ قَالَ «ضِعْفَانِ يَا عُمَرُ»

✧ That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood between the row of men and women and said, "O company of women, when you hear the call to prayer of this Abyssinian and his iqamah, then say as he says, for verily for you for every letter is a thousand thousand degrees." Umar said, "This is for women, so what is for men?" He said, "Twice that, O Umar."
