حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ
أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالصَّدَقَةِ فَقَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ امْرَأَةُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَيُجْزِئُنِي مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ أَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ عَلَى زَوْجِي وَهُوَ فَقِيرٌ وَعَلَى بَنِي أَخٍ لِي أَيْتَامٍ وَأَنَا مُنْفِقَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ؟ فَقَالَ «نَعَمْ» وَكَانَتْ صَنَاعَ الْيَدَيْنِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded giving charity. Zaynab, the wife of Abdullah b. Mas'ud, said, “Will it suffice me for charity that I give to my husband, who is poor, and to the orphans of my brother, on whom I spend in any case?” He said, “Yes.” She was a skilled craftswoman.
