حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ

أَنَّ أَبَا سُلَيْمَانَ مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا الرَّمْدَاءَ الْبَلَوِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْهُمْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَأَتَوْا بِهِ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَضُرِبَ ثُمَّ شَرِبَ الثَّانِيَةَ فَأَتَوْا بِهِ فَضَرَبَهُ فَلَا أَدْرِي قَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ أُمِرَ بِهِ فَجُعِلَ عَلَى الْعِجْلِ فَضَرَبْتُ عُنُقَهُ

✧ Abu Sulayman, the freed slave of Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, informed me that Abu al-Ramda al-Balawi informed him that a man among them drank wine, and they brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he was flogged. Then he drank a second time, and they brought him, and he flogged him. I do not know whether he said on the third or the fourth time: he was ordered to be placed on a calf, and I struck his neck.
