al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 18926

✧ Yazeed b. Ummi Namir b. Qasit al-Kindi, the father of Sa'ib. "He is Yazeed b. Abdullah b. Saad b. Aswad b. Thumamah b. Shaytan Yaqthan b. Harith b. Amr b. Muawiyah b. Harith, and Namer is an ally of Bani Amer b. Sa'sa'ah. Yazeed was an ally of Abu Sufyan b. Harb, and he accompanied the Prophet ﷺ and he commanded him in the Battle of Yamamah.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ شَبَّةَ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

نَفَلَنَا رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ نَفْلًا سِوَى نَصِيبِنَا مِنَ الخُمُسِ فَأَصَابَنِي شَارِفٌ
