al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 18927

✧ Yazeed b. Ummi Namir b. Qasit al-Kindi, the father of Sa'ib. "He is Yazeed b. Abdullah b. Saad b. Aswad b. Thumamah b. Shaytan Yaqthan b. Harith b. Amr b. Muawiyah b. Harith, and Namer is an ally of Bani Amer b. Sa'sa'ah. Yazeed was an ally of Abu Sufyan b. Harb, and he accompanied the Prophet ﷺ and he commanded him in the Battle of Yamamah.

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَشْوَعَ

عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ الْجُعْفِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ يَزِيدُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ مِنْكَ حَدِيثًا كَثِيرًا أَخَافُ أَنْ يُنْسِيَ أَوَّلُهُ آخِرَهُ فَحَدِّثْنِي بِكَلِمَةٍ تَكُونُ جِمَاعًا قَالَ اتَّقِ اللهَ فِيمَا تَعْلَمُ

✧ From Yazīd b. Salamah al-Juʿfī, who said: Yazīd said to the Messenger of God ﷺ, “I have heard from you many hadiths, and I fear that the first of them will make me forget the last, so tell me a word that will be comprehensive.” He said, “Fear God regarding what you know.”
