حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الْأَوْدِيُّ ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ قَالَ

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَشْكُو جَارَهُ فَقَالَ اطْرَحْ مَتَاعَكَ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ فَطَرَحَهُ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِ وَيَلْعَنُونَهُ فَجَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا لَقِيتُ مِنَ النَّاسِ قَالَ «وَمَا لَقِيتَ مِنْهُمْ؟» قَالَ يَلْعَنُونِي قَالَ «قَدْ لَعَنَكَ اللهُ قَبْلَ النَّاسِ» قَالَ فَإِنِّي لَا أَعُودُ فَجَاءَ الَّذِي شَكَاهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَهُ «ارْفَعْ مَتَاعَكَ فَقَدْ كُفِيتَ»

✧ A man came to the Messenger of God ﷺ complaining about his neighbor. He said, “Put your goods out on the road.” So he put them out, and people began to pass by him and curse him. He then came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of God, what I have met from the people!” He said, “And what did you meet from them?” He said, “They curse me.” He said, “God cursed you before the people did.” He said, “I will not do it again.” Then the one who had complained about him came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said to him, “Take up your goods, for you have been sufficed.”
