حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ بِلَالًا يُؤَذِّنُ وَيَدُورُ فَأَتَتَبَّعُ فَاهُ هَهُنَا وَهَهُنَا وَأُصْبُعَاهُ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ قَالَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي قُبَّةٍ لَهُ حَمْرَاءُ قَالَ فَخَرَجَ بِلَالٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ الْعَنَزَةُ فَرَكَزَهَا فِي الْأَبْطَحِ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَيْهَا الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ الْكَلْبُ وَالْحِمَارُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ وَعَلَيْهِ حُلَّةٌ لَهُ حَمْرَاءُ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَرِيقِ سَاقَيْهِ

Translation

✧ I saw Bilal calling the adhan and turning around, and I was following his mouth this way and that way, with his two fingers in his ears. He said: And the Messenger of God ﷺ was in a red dome of his. He said: So Bilal came out in front of him with the spear and planted it in al-Abtah, and the Messenger of God ﷺ prayed Zuhr and Asr facing it, while dogs, donkeys, and women passed in front of him. He was wearing a red suit of his, and it is as if I am looking at the shine of his calves.
