حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

«أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ الْأَبْطَحَ فَخَرَجَ بِلَالٌ فَأَذَّنَ فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ فَأَتَتَبَّعُ فَاهُ هَهُنَا وَهَهُنَا يَعْنِي يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا وَأَخْرَجَ فَضْلَ وَضُوئِهِ فَبَيْنَ نَائِلٍ وَنَاضِحٍ فَرَكَزَ عَنَزَةً فَخَرَجَ وَعَلَيْهِ حُلَّةٌ حَمْرَاءُ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَرِيقِ سَاقَيْهِ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ»

Translation

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ at al-Abtah, and Bilal came out and called the adhan, and it is as if I am looking at him, and I was following his mouth this way and that way, meaning right and left. He brought out the leftover water of his ablution, and it was between one who obtained some and one who sprinkled it. Then he planted a spear, and he came out wearing a red suit, and it is as if I am looking at the shine of his calves. Then he prayed Zuhr and Asr, two rak'ahs each, until he returned.
