حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَسْجِدَ فَرَآهُمْ رَافِعِي أَيْدِيهِمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ «مَا لِي أَرَاهُمْ رَافِعِي أَيْدِيهِمْ كَأَنَّهَا أَذْنَابُ الْخَيْلِ الشُّمُسِ؟ اسْكُنُوا فِي الصَّلَاةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque upon us and saw them raising their hands during prayer, and he said: “What is the matter with me, seeing them raising their hands as if they were the tails of restive horses? Be still during the prayer.”
