حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ ثَوْرِ بْنِ مَازِنٍ
أَنَّ جَدَّهُ مَازِنَ بْنَ خَيْثَمَةَ وَهَبِيلَ بْنَ كَعْبٍ أَحَدُ بَنِي مَازِنٍ بَعَثَهُمَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ يَوْمَ نَزَلَ بَيْنَ السَّكُونِ وَالسَّكَاسِكِ وَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى أَسْلَمَ النَّاسُ وَافِدَيْنَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «فآخَى بَيْنَ السَّكُونِ وَالسَّكَاسِكِ»

✧ That his grandfather, Mazin b. Khaythama, and Hubayl b. Ka'b, one of the Banu Mazin, were sent by Mu'adh b. Jabal on the day he encamped between al-Sakun and al-Sakasik and fought until the people submitted as delegations to the Messenger of God ﷺ. "And he established brotherhood between al-Sakun and al-Sakasik."
