حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ قَابُوسَ بْنِ مُخَارِقٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الرَّجُلُ يَأْتِينِي يُرِيدُ مَالِي قَالَ «ذَكِّرْهُ اللهَ» قَالَ فَلَمْ يَذَّكَّرْ؟ قَالَ «فَاسْتَعِنْ عَلَيْهِ مَنْ حَوْلَكَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ» قَالَ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ حَوْلِي أَحَدٌ؟ قَالَ «فَاسْتَعِنْ عَلَيْهِ بِالسُّلْطَانِ» قَالَ فَإِنْ بَاعَنِي السُّلْطَانُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «قَاتِلْ دُونَ مَالِكَ حَتَّى تَكُونَ فِي شُهَدَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ أَوْ تَمْنَعَ ذَلِكَ»

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allah, a man comes to me wanting my wealth." He said: "Remind him of Allah." He said: "What if he does not take heed?" He said: "Then seek help against him from the Muslims around you." He said: "What if there is no one around me?" He said: "Then seek help against him from the authority." He said: "What if the authority sells me out?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Fight in defense of your wealth until you are among the martyrs of the Hereafter or you prevent that."
