حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ قَالَ
دَخَلَ الْعَبَّاسُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا تَلَاقَى بِوُجُوهٍ مُشْرِقَةٍ وَتَلْقَانَا بِخِلَافِ ذَلِكَ فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى دَرَّ الْعَرَقُ الَّذِي بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «لَا يَذُوقُ عَبْدٌ طَعْمَ الْإِيمَانِ حَتَّى يُحِبَّكُمْ لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ»

✧ Al-'Abbas entered upon the Prophet ﷺ and said: “O Messenger of Allah, Quraysh meet each other with radiant faces and meet us contrary to that.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ became angry until sweat flowed between his eyes, then said: “A servant will not taste the sweetness of faith until he loves you for the sake of Allah and His Messenger.”
