حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْبَقَرَةُ سَنَامُ الْقُرْآنِ وَذُرْوَتُهُ وَنَزَلَ مَعَ كُلِّ آيَةٍ مِنْهَا ثَمَانُونَ مَلَكًا وَاسْتُخْرِجَتِ اللهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْعَرْشِ فَوُصِلَتْ بِهَا سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ وَيس قَلْبُ الْقُرْآنِ لَا يَقْرَؤُهَا رَجُلٌ يُرِيدُ اللهَ وَالدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ إِلَّا غَفَرَ اللهُ لَهُ اقْرَؤُوهَا عَلَى مَوْتَاكُمْ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Al-Baqarah is the summit of the Quran and it is accompanied by eighty angels with every verse of it. Allah revealed 'There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence' from beneath the Throne, so Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Yasin were attached to it. The heart of the Quran is Surah Al-Baqarah, and whoever recites it seeking Allah and the Last Home, Allah will forgive him. Recite it over your dead."
