حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ زَبَّانَ بْنِ فَايِدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ أَفْضَلِ الْإِيمَانِ؟ قَالَ «أَفْضَلُ الْإِيمَانِ أَنْ تُحِبَّ لِلَّهِ وَتُبْغِضَ لِلَّهِ وَتُعْمِلَ لِسَانَكَ فِي ذِكْرِ اللهِ» قَالَ وَمَاذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «وَأَنْ تُحِبَّ لِلنَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِكَ وَتَكْرَهَ لَهُمْ مَا تَكْرَهُ لِنَفْسِكَ وَأَنْ تَقُولَ خَيْرًا أَوْ تَصْمُتَ»

✧ That he asked the Messenger of God ﷺ about the best of faith. He said: "The best of faith is that you love for the sake of God, hate for the sake of God, and set your tongue to work in the remembrance of God." He said: "And what else, O Messenger of God?" He said: "And that you love for people what you love for yourself, hate for them what you hate for yourself, and that you say what is good or remain silent."
