حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ زَبَّانَ بْنِ فَايِدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ لِمَ سَمَّى اللهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلَهُ الَّذِي وَفَّى؟ لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ كُلَّمَا أَصْبَحَ أَوْ أَمْسَى {سُبْحَانَ اللهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ} حَتَّى خَتَمَ الْآيَةَ

✧ On the authority of the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: "Shall I inform you why God named Abraham His intimate friend who fulfilled? Because he used to say every morning and every evening: 'Glory be to God when you enter the evening and when you rise in the morning,' until he completed the verse."
