حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ثنا زَبَّانُ بْنُ فَايِدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «حَقٌّ عَلَى مَنْ قَامَ مِنْ مَجْلِسٍ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَحَقٌّ عَلَى مَنْ أَتَى مَجْلِسًا أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ» فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَكَلَّمُ فَلَمْ يُسَلِّمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا أَسْرَعَ مَا نَسِيَ»

✧ From the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: "It is a duty upon one who leaves a gathering to greet them, and a duty upon one who comes to a gathering to greet." A man stood up while the Messenger of God ﷺ was speaking and did not greet, so the Messenger of God ﷺ said: "How quickly he forgot!"
