حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو طَارِقٍ السَّعْدِيُّ قَالَ
شَهِدْتُ الْحَسَنَ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَهُوَ يُوصِي فَقَالَ لِلْكَاتِبِ اكْتُبْ بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ هَذَا مَا شَهِدَ الْحَسَنُ «شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَادِقًا مِنْ قَلْبِهِ مَنْ شَهِدَ بِهَا عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ صَادِقًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ» سَمِعْتُ ذَلِكَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ أَوْصَى بِهَا عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ يَرْوِي ذَلِكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ I witnessed al-Hasan at the time of his death while he was making his will. He said to the scribe: 'Write: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is what al-Hasan testified. He testified that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, truthfully from his heart. Whoever testifies to this at his death truthfully will enter Paradise.' I heard that from Mu'adh b. Jabal; he enjoined it at his death, narrating it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
