✧ he pointed with his hand towards Sham (Syria) and said: 'Here you will be gathered as riders and pedestrians on your faces on the Day of Judgment, with your mouths filled with dust, and you will outlive seventy nations, you being the last and the most honored to Allah. And indeed, the first thing to be presented of any one of you will be his thigh.'

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قَزَعَةَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَا حَقُّ الْمَرْأَةِ عَلَى الزَّوْجِ؟ قَالَ «يُطْعِمُهَا إِذَا طَعِمَ وَيَكْسُوهَا إِذَا اكْتَسَى وَلَا يَضْرِبُ الْوَجْهَ وَلَا يُقَبِّحُ وَلَا تَهْجُرْ إِلَّا فِي بَيْتِكَ»

✧ A man asked the Prophet ﷺ, 'What is the right of the woman upon the husband?' He said, 'That he feeds her when he eats, clothes her when he clothes himself, does not strike the face, does not revile, and does not abandon except in your house.'
