سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبًا يَقُولُ «اشْتَكَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَقُمْ لَيْلَةً أَوْ لَيْلَتَيْنِ» فَأَتَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ مَا رَأَى شَيْطَانُكَ إِلَّا قَدْ تَرَكَكَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَالضُّحَى وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى}

✧ I heard Jundub say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell ill and did not get up for a night or two. Then a woman came to him and said, "O Muhammad, I have not seen your shaytan except that he has left you." So Allah, exalted is He, revealed: {By the morning brightness and by the night when it covers with darkness, your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He detested you}.
