حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ عُلَيٍّ ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَائِذٍ عَنْ لَقِيطِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ السَّكُونِيِّ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ

لَهُ إِنَّ لَنَا جَارًا يَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ وَيَأْتِي الْقَبِيحَ فَارْفَعْ أَمْرَهُ إِلَى السُّلْطَانِ قَالَ «لَقَدْ قَتَلْتُ تِسْعًا وَتِسْعِينَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنِّي قَتَلْتُ مِثْلَهُمْ وَأَنِّي كَشَفْتُ قِنَاعَ مُسْلِمٍ»

✧ He said: "We have a neighbor who drinks wine and commits vile acts, so raise his matter to the authority." He said: "I killed ninety-nine alongside the Messenger of God ﷺ; I would not love that I had killed the like of them and that I had uncovered the veil of a Muslim."
