حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَسَّانٍ الْعَطَّارُ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ لَقِيطِ بْنِ صَبِرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَافِدِ بَنِي الْمُنْتَفِقِ

أَنَّهُ أَتَى عَائِشَةَ هُوَ وَصَاحِبٌ لَهُ يَطْلُبَانِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَجِدَاهُ فَأَطْعَمَتْهُمَا عَائِشَةُ عَصِيدَةً فَلَمْ يَلْبَثْ أَنْ جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَنْقَلِعُ يَتَكَفَّأُ فَقَالَ «أَطْعَمْتِهِمَا؟» قُلْنَا نَعَمْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الصَّلَاةُ؟ قَالَ «أَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ وَخَلِّلِ الْأَصَابِعَ وَبَالِغْ فِي الِاسْتِنْشَاقِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ صَائِمًا»

✧ that he came to Aisha, he and a companion of his, seeking the Prophet ﷺ, but they did not find him. Aisha fed them both porridge. It was not long before the Prophet ﷺ came walking briskly, swaying. He said, "Did you feed them both?" We said, "Yes." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, prayer?" He said, "Perform ablution thoroughly and pass between the fingers, and inhale water into the nose deeply, unless you are fasting."
