حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلْمٍ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ أبِيهِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ قَالَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَعْقِلٍ أَنَّ كَعْبَ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ حَدَّثَهُ
أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مُحْرِمًا فَقَمِلَ رَأْسُهُ وَلِحْيَتُهُ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ فَدَعَا الْحَلَّاقَ فَحَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «هَلْ عِنْدَكَ نُسُكٌ؟» قَالَ مَا أَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَصُومَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ يُطْعِمَ سِتَّةَ مَسَاكِينٍ لِكُلِّ مِسْكِينٍ صَاعٌ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ فِيهِ خَاصَّةً {فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِ أَذًى مِنْ رَأْسِهِ فَفِدْيَةٌ مِنْ صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ} ثُمَّ كَانَتْ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ عَامَّةً

✧ He went out with the Prophet ﷺ in a state of iḥrām, and his head and beard became infested with lice. That reached the Prophet ﷺ, so he sent for him and called the barber, and he shaved his head. Then he said: “Do you have a sacrificial animal?” He said, “I am not able to obtain one.” So he ordered him to fast three days or feed six needy people, a ṣāʿ for each needy person. Then God ﷻ revealed concerning him specifically: {And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of his head, then a ransom of fasting or charity or sacrifice}. Then it became general for the Muslims.”
