حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدُ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ثنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ

فِيَّ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «ادْنُهْ» فَدَنَوْتُ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا فَقَالَ «أَيُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّكَ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَأَمَرَنِي بِالصِّيَامِ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ مَا تَيَسَّرَ

Translation

✧ This verse was revealed concerning me. I came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "Come closer." I came closer two or three times. He said, "Do your vermin trouble you?" I said, "Yes." Then he commanded me to fast, or to give charity, or to offer a sacrifice, whatever was easy.
