حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ

رَآنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَمْلِي يَتَسَاقَطُ عَلَى وَجْهِي فَقَالَ «أَيُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّكَ هَذِهِ؟» فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَحْلِقَ رَأْسِي وَهُمْ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَلَمْ يَتَبَيَّنْ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ يَحْلِقُونَ بِهَا وَهُمْ عَلَى طَمَعٍ أَنْ يَدْخُلُوا مَكَّةَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ الْفِدْيَةَ فَأَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَطْعِمَ فَرَقًا بَيْنَ سِتَّةِ مَسَاكِينٍ أَوْ أَصُومَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ أَذْبَحَ شَاةً

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw me while my lice were falling onto my face. He said, "Do these vermin of yours trouble you?" I said, "Yes." He said, and he commanded me to shave my head. They were at al-Hudaybiyyah, and it was not clear to them that they would shave there, and they were hoping to enter Makkah. Then Allah, exalted is He, sent down the expiation. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to feed a faraq to six needy people, or to fast three days, or to slaughter a sheep.
