حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا وَرْقَاءُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَآهُ وَقَمْلُهُ يَسْقُطُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ «أَيُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّكَ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَحْلِقَ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ لَمْ يَتَبَيَّنْ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ يَحْلِقُونَ وَهُمْ عَلَى طَمَعٍ أَنْ يَدْخُلُوا مَكَّةَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ الْفِدْيَةَ فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُطْعِمَ فَرَقًا بَيْنَ سِتَّةِ مَسَاكِينٍ أَوْ يَهْدِيَ شَاةً أَوْ يَصُومَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him while his lice were falling onto his face. He said, "Do your vermin trouble you?" He said, "Yes." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded him to shave at al-Hudaybiyyah. It was not clear to them that they would shave there, and they were hoping to enter Makkah. Then Allah, exalted is He, sent down the expiation. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded him to feed a faraq to six needy people, or to offer a sheep, or to fast three days.
