حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ الْكِنْدِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عِيَاضِ بْنِ غُطَيْفٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا شَرِبَ الرَّجُلُ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ثُمَّ إِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ثُمَّ إِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ثُمَّ إِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ثُمَّ إِنْ عَادَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ»

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "If a man drinks wine, flog him; then if he repeats it, flog him; then if he repeats it, flog him; then if he repeats it, flog him; then if he repeats it, kill him."
