حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ
أَتَى أَبُو حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلًا يُقْرِي الضَّيْفَ وَيَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ وَيَفْعَلُ وَيَفْعَلُ هُوَ أَبُوكَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَرَأَيْتَ أَبِي وَأَبَاكَ فَإِنَّهُمَا فِي النَّارِ» فَمَا لَبِثَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا عِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً حَتَّى مَاتَ

✧ Abu Husayn b. ʿUbayd came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “Do you think a man who entertains guests, maintains kinship ties, and does such-and-such—that is your father?” The Prophet ﷺ said, “Your father and my father are both in the Fire.” He did not remain after that except twenty nights until he died.
