حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ غُلَيْبٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْجُعْفِيُّ ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْهَاشِمِيِّ
عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ إِنَّ أَبَاهُ حَصِينًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلًا كَانَ يُقْرِي الضَّيْفَ وَيَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ مَاتَ قَبْلَكَ وَهُوَ أَبُوكَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ أَبِي وَأَبَاكَ وَأَنْتَ فِي النَّارِ» قَالَ فَمَاتَ حُصَيْنٌ مُشْرِكًا
Translation

✧ From ʿImrān b. al-Ḥuṣayn: His father Ḥuṣayn came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “What do you think about a man who used to host guests and maintain family ties, who died before you, and he is your father?” He said, “Indeed my father, your father, and you are in the Fire.” He said, “Then Ḥuṣayn died as a polytheist.”
