حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ أنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ رُزَيْقِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ قَرَظَةَ عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «خِيَارُ أَئِمَّتِكُمُ الَّذِينَ تُحِبُّونَهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَكُمْ وَتَدَعُونَ اللهَ لَهُمْ وَيَدْعُونَ اللهَ لَكُمْ وَشِرَارُ أَئِمَّتِكُمُ الَّذِينَ تُبْغِضُونَهُمْ وَيُبْغِضُونَكُمْ وَتَلْعَنُونَهُمْ وَيَلْعَنُونَكُمْ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَفَلَا نُنَابِذُهُمْ؟ قَالَ «لَا مَا أَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ فِيكُمْ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ مِنْ وَالِيكُمْ شَيْئًا تَكْرَهُونَهُ فَاكْرَهُوا عَمَلَهُ وَلَا تَنْزِعُوا يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ that he said: “The best of your leaders are those whom you love and who love you, and for whom you supplicate to Allah and who supplicate to Allah for you. The worst of your leaders are those whom you hate and who hate you, and whom you curse and who curse you.” It was said: O Messenger of Allah, should we not then oppose them? He said: “No, as long as they establish the prayer among you. If you see from your ruler something you dislike, then hate his action, but do not withdraw your hand from obedience.”
