حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا جَهْضَمُ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ قَالَ مَرَرْتُ بِالنَّرْجِيجِ فَرَأَيْتُ بِهِ شَيْخًا قَالُوا هَذَا الْعَدَّاءُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ هَوْذَةَ فَقَالَ
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ صِفْهُ لِي قَالَ «كَانَ حَسَنُ السَّبَلَةِ وَكَانَتِ الْعَرَبُ تُسَمِّي اللِّحْيَةَ السَّبَلَةَ»
