حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ السِّمْسَارُ ثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ اللُّقَطَةِ فَقَالَ «عَرِّفْهَا فَإِنْ وَجَدْتَ صَاحِبَهَا وَإلَّا فَهِيَ مَالُ اللهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ» فَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَيُّوبُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ مُطَرِّفًا
Translation

✧ I asked the Prophet ﷺ about a found item, and he said, "Announce it; if you find its owner [return it], otherwise it is the wealth of Allah, which He gives to whom He wills." Ayyub did not mention in his hadith the report of Mutarrif.
