حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ وَثَنًا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ ذَكْوانَ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إنِّي أَعْمَلُ الْعَمَلَ فَأُسِرُّهُ فَيَظْهَرُ فَأَمْزَحُ بِهِ قَالَ «كُتِبَ لَكَ أَجْرَانِ أَجْرُ السِّرِّ وَأَجْرُ الْعَلَانِيَةِ»

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I perform a deed and keep it secret, but it becomes known, and I am pleased about that." He said, "Two rewards are written for you: the reward of the secret and the reward of the open."
